When the Pandavas arrived at the city of the crocodile, Panchala capital, the entire town of was in a festive mood due to the celebrations associated with the wedding of Draupadi.The town was full of Brahmins from all around neighboring places, who had thronged there to receive expensive gifts granted by the king Drupada. With braided hairs, and wearing the sacrificial threads, posing as Brahmins, the Pandavas mingled among them.
